The PDT is used by major Shopping Networks primarily to display jewelry. Home Shopping Network and its affilliates have been using it for years. ShopNBC has been using it fulltime since early 2006. The turntable is machined from highgrade aluminum and is strong enough to support hundreds of pounds. However durable it is due to its construction it's main attributes are it's stability characteristics. It's construction makes it jitter and wobble free. Operation of the turntable is via a hand held terminal. Pre-programmed buttons offer the user the ability to: Move the turntable in the clockwise or counter clockwise directions. Change the velocity of the movement (8 choices). Start Stop Home There are also preprogrammed movements. For example 180 degrees. The user would press home to move the turntable to its start position. Then select the velocity and degree of movement. Press Start to begin. The turntable moves 90 degrees to begin then moves back and forth 180 degrees. The turntable is programmed to slide in and out of its end limit for smooth direction transitions. (more)
