The final votes are coming in for this year’s Oscar race. In fact, voting ends Tuesday, February 23rd. While the winners will be announced during the Oscar program Sunday, February 28th, there are plenty of opportunities for you to view the Oscar nominated movies and participate in events that highlight the below the line nominees prior to the big day.
The Art Directors Guild will present “The Art of Production Design: a Panel Discussion with the 88th Oscar Nominees for Achievement in Production Design” on Saturday, February 27th at the Egyptian Theater in Hollywood. Doors open for the event at 2:30pm and the panel begins at 3:00pm. Take a trip downtown to the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising to view the 24th Annual Art of Motion Picture Costume Design Exhibit. Over 100 costumes from the 2015’s most notable films in a variety of genres are on display, including those nominated for Outstanding Costume Design. The exhibition opened February 9th and will remain up until April 30th. The gallery is free and open to the public on Tuesdays through Saturday, from 10:00am until 5:00pm.
