Activities Connect You To Oscar Nominees Throughout Oscar Week 2/21 - 2/28

The final votes are coming in for this year’s Oscar race. In fact, voting ends Tuesday, February 23^rd.  While the winners will be announced during the Oscar program Sunday, February 28^th, there are plenty of opportunities for you to view the Oscar nominated movies and participate in events that highlight the below the line nominees prior to the big day.

The Art Directors Guild will present “The Art of Production Design: a Panel Discussion with the 88^th Oscar Nominees for Achievement in Production Design” on Saturday, February 27^th at the Egyptian Theater in Hollywood. Take a trip downtown to the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising to view the 24^th Annual Art of Motion Picture Costume Design Exhibit.  Over 100 costumes from the 2015’s most notable films in a variety of genres are on display, including those nominated for Outstanding Costume Design.  The exhibition opened February 9^th and will remain up until April 30^th.  The gallery is free and open to the public on Tuesdays through Saturday, from 10:00am until 5:00pm.  You may learn more about the FIDM at: http://fidmmuseum.org/exhibitions/current/

For those wondering how to see the Oscar nominated shorts, ShortsHD is presenting all the nominees in each category, including Live Action, Animation and Documentary.
