Productions are nothing without locations, and the Location Managers Guild established an award show in 2014 to recognize the talented individuals who find and secure the diverse locations that bring a production to life. Recently, the guild announced the individuals who will receive Honorary Awards at the Third Annual LMGI Awards, being celebrated April 23, 2016. The Location Managers Guild will be celebrating their third consecutive award show on
Hosted by David Doumeng, a previous LMGI winner, celebrated Location Manager and lively entertainer, the event will take place at the Alex Theater in Glendale, CA. This year’s honorees include directors who have, throughout their career, supported the craft of location management.
Honorary Awards include filmmaker Wes Anderson accepting the Eva Monley Award. Director Michael Mann will present the Lifetime Achievement Award to location manager Janice Polley. Hollywood Teamsters Local 399 CEO Steve Dayan will be honored with the Trailblazer Award. Director Brad Silberling and actor Amy Brenneman will receive the Humanitarian Award.
