Los Angeles Equestrian Center (LAEC, Inc.)

The Los Angeles Equestrian Center is very film friendly and we would love to help with your filming, photo or parking needs. We are centrally located in the Burbank/Los Angeles area and in close proximity to Disney, ABC, Warner Brothers, NBC and Universal Studios. Our 74 acre property is mostly dedicated to horses with several different types of barns, riding and show rings, a polo ring and our signature 3500 seat covered arena, The Equidome. That, however, is not all we have to offer. We have two lovely multi-acre grass fields: The Cricket Field, with bleachers, judge’s stand and nearby parking lot, has been filmed as various sporting venues; polo for “Pretty Woman”, football for “Little Giants” and horse jumping for “Twisted”…(what could you use it for?) and The Hunt Field which is 4 ½ acres of park–like grass and trees; definitely the “sweet spot” on the property. Also, on this field is the lovely Little White House that could be a ranch or farm house, retreat, or mountain cabin. With your imagination and Art Department, the possibilities are endless. Creative forces at work could turn the Little White House back patio, with waterfall and beautiful landscaping, into a chic outdoor café, a charming little restaurant, a wedding ceremony site or ???. We also have three stunning banquet rooms, The Grand Prix Room, The Polo Roomand The Equestrian Ballroom, each with a unique look unto itself. These are used mostly on weekends by Calamigos at the Equestrian Center for weddings, receptions, banquets, conferences, parties and such… no reason your company couldn’t use them earlier in the week for the same. There are two commercial kitchens on site, one smaller, which is usually readily available, and one very large, which may be available when not in use by Calamigos. We have several offices, stores and parking lots that could be used, not only as what they are, but as a bus depot, a motel, strip mall or ?????. Parking lots round out our all-purpose facility with a large double lot for base camp and several other lots for crew and overflow. Access is easy for high profile vehicles with plenty of room to maneuver. Just need parking for base camp or crew? Give us a call. We do that, too! Our Location Site Rep, retired from the DGA, has 30 years of experience as a First and Second Assistant Director and is very savvy to production needs. This could save you time and money by helping your staff anticipate and quickly resolve any location problems that may arise in the course of your shoot. She will stay with your company at all times to accommodate their needs and to keep your crew and our clients happy and safe, hopefully insuring a great and productive experience for all. Although we have had a lot of film, TV, video games and photo shoots done at LAEC, we look forward to seeing what kind of creative ideas your company can come up with to utilize our beautiful facility. Our location fees are comparable and reasonable and we will do our best to accommodate your project. One of the most common phrases we hear is, “I didn’t even know this was here!” Let’s change that.
