Malcomb Davis Illustration and the making of really fantastic storyboards yall!

I grew up in Hollywood and even attended their High school. So did Carole Burnett and John Ritter. No kidding. Many of my friends were kin to directors, Cameramen, Gaffers, et.al. So I knew this cinematic thing from an early age.

Then off to the best Illustration school your money can buy. Cal.State Uni. Long Beach which was where little Stevie Spielberg's storyboard artist, David Lowery went. It is an impacted department and I got my B.F.A. out of it. I dived straight into storyboarding for most of my life, creating for feature films, commercials, and gaming. I can crank out 45 frames a day depending on the complexity of the sequence. I work digitally but dabble in traditionally, as it is my first love. I know the capability of most lenses, cranes, booms, and lights. Not many boardists can say that. Oh sure draw they nice and sparkly. It's not only that, it's the shorthand lingo too. You tell them you're on a '350 mm' or an E.L.S.'. They're stumped. Or you're on a 'Hot Head' and going high to low with spin. Real Terry Gilliam stuff. Some don't even know about crossing the line. They think it's at McDonald's.
