My work experience spans 20 years, starting with degrees earned in Business, Studio Art, and an MFA in Film Production from Florida State University.
I spent the early 2000's in New York City, working my way up as a grip, electrician, and gaffer on everything from large studio & indie films to commercials and music videos.
After making the jump to Cinematographer, I began shooting promos for networks such as AETN and Discovery. I invested in digital cameras, post-production, and color grading equipment and started finishing projects from script to screen.
In 2011 I moved to Los Angeles, where I continued to grow as a filmmaker with new opportunities to write and direct. I began to build my print portfolio one image at a time, often capturing print and motion simultaneously.
I continue to integrate directing, motion, and print capture and enjoy finding creative ways to elevate each project for my clients. I see myself as an extension of my client's and director's unique creative process, stepping in as needed to help execute their vision. From creation to completion, I have the proven ability to stretch time and resources, and my experience at each stage of production free's me to think outside the box for solutions to every situation.
As a Director, Cinematographer, or Photographer, I aspire to connect with like-minded people to achieve something great no matter the scope of the project.
When not on set, I spend time with my amazing wife and step-kids. I love to be outdoors, mountain biking, hiking, and skiing throughout the stunning scenery of Southern California and Utah!
